Double Six dominoes is a game played by two or more players. Each half of a domino tile is called an end. An end with no dots is called a blank and a tile with the same number of dots on both ends is called a doublet. The highest ranking tile in Double Six dominoes is the Six doublet or better known as *Double Six.* A set of Double Six domino consists of 28 tiles.****The origin of Domino is not known- but dominoes appeared in Europe around early 18th century and quickly became the favorite game of italian nobles. Also- tiles dating back to the 1100 AD have been found in China.****There are quite a few variations on how domino is played- but the basic rules are quite simple. Moving clockwise- each player takes turns placing a tile on the table starting with the highest doublet available. Players must match the end of their tiles to the end of tiles on the table. Depending on how the game is played- players can either match similar ends or match ends that add up to a specific number. Traditionally- doublets are placed crosswise to other tiles- and players must play any playable tile or draw a new tile.****Domino is truly a timeless game. It can be a fun game for children learning the concept of numbers or it can be a challenging game of strategy and logic for adults.
